Install ESD mats

In the server room, the flooring should be covered with ESD mats. These mats are anti-static, which will make it easier for the technicians when they are using the server equipment. Static is a common, but possibly troublesome part of an electronics room. Lining the room with ESD mats will make the flooring stable and make the floors anti-slip, as well. Set up a portable cooling system

A server room will be the hottest room in the office. Due to your machines running constantly, you will notice that the temperature will be higher than the other spaces in the office. This can become an issue if your servers are running too hot and start to fry. In order to keep the room cool, you will need to set up a portable air conditioning unit. These units will be smaller than the server and should be set up in front of or behind the server spaces. Along with the portable cooling system, set up an independent temperature gauge inside of the server room. Monitor the temperature to make sure that the room remains at a steady temp. This will keep your server room in good condition and properly protect the equipment.
